Polartec® Alpha® Direct combines durable, puffy polyester fibers with a mesh core to create an active insulating material. As well as reducing internal penetration of cold air, it also wicks moisture and allows excess heat to escape freely through the fabric to the outside.
With the Polartec® Alpha® Direct technology, the stable insulating layer is located directly on the skin or the next layer of clothing and the outside is protected by an air permeable material. The absence of any inner lining makes it very breathable, which improves both heat regulation and moisture-wicking. This results in a significant increase in climate comfort and a shorter drying time.
