Hammock carabiner with rain shield - The ingenious and robust drip clips are practical carabiners that allow you to hang up a hammock super quickly. The clever thing about them is the integrated drip shields. The Hypalon fabric squares catch the raindrops travelling along the suspension ropes and allow them to drip to the ground, but not into the hammock. If you rub these drip shields with mosquito repellent, ants, leeches and the like will not migrate towards the hammock. The Drip Clips can be ideally combined with the Hammock Suspension Kit and the Slit Line. The Drip Clips from Exped are small but mighty: the two aluminium snap carabiners with the surrounding drip shield made of Hypalon are the ideal suspension device for the hammock outdoors. Under a tarp, for example, which keeps out most of the rain. However, a few drops can also cause the hammock to become unpleasantly damp via the suspension system. The drip clips help to prevent this. The snap carabiners weigh very little and are quickly attached to the suspension points of the hammock. If raindrops wet the carabiner, the Hypalon shield prevents them from reaching the suspension cord and the hammock via capillary action. It stays nice and dry. Clever, isn't it? The Drip Clips are ideal in combination with the Hammock Suspension Kit from Exped.
The two snap carabiners are not suitable for climbing.
