MOJITO RE-SHOES is the first shoe made from recycled MOJITO shoes at the end of
their life cycle, collected from consumers as part of the LIFE Re-Shoes project.
Almost all of the materials from the old shoes are regenerated and given a new
lease of life in a pair of MOJITO RE-SHOES – for a truly circular economy.
- Recycled materials from old MOJITO shoes
- Designed for further recycling
- Reduced environmental impact compared to the production process for standard
MOJITO shoes
- UPPER Suede leather, tanned with a filler obtained from used MOJITO shoes
through a hydrolysis process. No chrome is added to the tanning process. Rubber
protective cap with up to 35% devulcanised rubber.
- LACING Extended lacing, inspired by climbing, extends to the toe area and
ensures a precise fit and high wearing comfort. No metal eyelets, to support
the future recyclability of the product. The lacing system is made from recycled
cotton combined with recycled PE, while the webbing label is made from 100%
recycled PE from production waste and non-woven material.
- LINING Made from textile with 57% recycled polyamide.
- SOLE Presa® URB-06 Sole with recycled content. Shredded soles from old
MOJITO shoes are integrated into the midsole compound, enabling up to 35%
recycled material content. The midsole combines low-density PU and recycled
material, while the outsole consists of up to 50% devulcanised rubber from
SCARPA production residues.
