Behind the casual leisure look of the models are true all-rounders that skilfully
combine two completely different worlds. Mountain sports enthusiasts will be reminded
of the typical features of approach shoes when they see the protective PU film
in the heel and forefoot area and the angular profile design. While the robust
upper with its filigree embossing and adaptive lacing with movable wing elements
is more suited to the lifestyle segment. Both worlds come together harmoniously
in the dual-moulded midsole made from cushioning LOWA DynaPU®. Completely
redesigned, it has an angular lug profile for good grip. Additional support is
provided by the discreet FIT FRAME, which supports the sides of the foot. All
of this is rounded off by a soft padded border and a water tab for easier entry.
- Gore-Tex: Shoes equipped with a Gore-Tex membrane are reliably waterproof,
windproof and breathable.
- Lowa Rubber Sole: The Lowa Rubber Outsole is a rubber outsole designed by
Lowa with an application-specific tread design made from an optimised rubber
compound. The advantage of a rubber outsole is its good grip.
- Double Injection: For effective cushioning and a high level of comfort,
the sole of the shoe is bonded to the upper using a technically complex injection
moulding process. To do this, the upper shoe is placed in a specially manufactured
mould. PU foam is then inserted into the mould in different layers. This creates
the sole, which bonds directly with the upper to form a single unit.
- Fit Frame: In this construction method, the sole is designed as a kind of
shell that comfortably embeds the foot. This supports a comfortable fit.
- DynaPU: The midsole is largely responsible for the rolling behaviour and
cushioning of a shoe. In this case, it consists of a specially developed synthetic
material: Lowa DynaPU. The special feature: even if it is compressed a thousand
times, it still retains its resilience. This means that the shoes made from
it still have very good cushioning properties even after many kilometres.
- Flexible: Shoes labelled "flexible" have low flexural rigidity.
This supports the natural rolling behaviour of the foot.
- Woman Last: To ensure an optimum fit, the last of women's models is specially
adapted to the female anatomy. The last is largely responsible for ensuring
that the shoe fits well. As women's feet have a smaller volume, the instep
height and ball circumference, for example, are adjusted.
